We are very happy to announce that Cafe Barcelona received the Award of Best Business of the year 2016 in Streatham, selected by a panel of independent judges, in a sold out ceremony celebrated at the Hideaway Jazz Club.
The Awards, with hundreds of entries from all kind of business in Streatham, is a recognition to the hard work we have put in the last 2 years into creating a unique place in Streatham High Road, an area that is rapidly changing and developing with more young professional people moving to the area.
We want to share this with all our customers who support us every day, and also with all the businesses in Streatham who also deserve the award as much as us, who fight every day to improve their businesses and the area of Streatham. By helping an independent business, you improve the backbone of the local economy, and nurture our thriving and healthy community, where everyone benefits.
From our hearts, THANK YOU.
The Cafe Barcelona team

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 21,000 times in 2015. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 8 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
Click here to see the complete report.
Please note that we will be CLOSED from the 24th December to the 6th January inclusive.
We wish you a peaceful Christmas and a great 2016 full of challenges and achievements.

MOSCOW DRUG CLUB – 4/12/15
A curious musical place where certain elements of 1930’s Berlin Cabaret, Hot Club de France, New Orleans Funeral Parade & Gypsy Campfire meet, have a few to drink and then stagger arm in arm into the darkness of some eastern European cobbled street on a mission to find the bar where Django Reinhardt & Tom Waits are having an after hours jam with the local Tziganes. You are cordially invited to share a wry smile with us as you enter the darkly comic world of Moscow Drug Club…..this way please & mind the stairs!!!
By popular demand, we are now open on Mondays, so you can enjoy the great atmosphere and relax in our beautiful Cafe.
